| Stand Up Paddle-BoardsThis is a fantastic and fun way to enjoy the water. It's very easy to pick up and on our trips with an experienced guide you can't help but have a good time. Paddle down tide to the Coombe Cellars where we stop for a rest and some refreshment while the tide turns then paddle back with the tide to the Ship in for another rest and refreshment or even a BBQ on the beach. We are expecting our delivery of brand new paddleboards any time now so if you fancy trying something new and fun call us and book. It's easy to master so it's a great idea for an evening out or a party. We are also now retailing Stand Up Paddle-Boards from Tushingham and Red Paddle co.With the range available to view from SeaSports or online. We are also planning on having an SUP demo day, where you can come along and try different boards and paddle with like-minded people so watch this space for more info. We are also including SUP's in this years RNLI Race, more information later in the news page. | |

RYA T15 clubAre currently having a break for the winter. We are looking forward to getting the 2010 season underway onThursday Evenings 6pm first meeting on April 1st New members are welcome but must be windsurfing to level 1 standard. Funding is available for both the level one course and T15 membership. | |
Junior Activity weeks During the HolidaysWe have now got lots of dates in the school holidays for 2010 so have a look on line for details.From 9 am until 4pm we take 8 to 15 year olds and give them the time of their lives; We windsurf, sail, kayak, canoe, stand up paddleboard, and have beach picnics, crabbing competitions, play beach games, learn new skills and very often achieve RYA certification. The emphasis is clearly on fun and making new friends. Everyone will come home at night happy, tired and with a real sense of achievement. WindsurfersBeginners - we have arranged lots of 2 and 5 day courses over the spring and summer months - so go on and do it it's great fun and a great way to get fit and meet some like minded people while you are at it.Improvers - If you are serious about improving your windsurfing book in for an improver clinics - beach starts, getting planing, foot straps, water starts, blasting control, carve gybes. A 2 hour one to one clinic can really help you get to the next level with your windsurfing. Just call to book - when it suits you. | |
Paddling NewsWe have also introduced lots of new courses for our paddlers for 2010 including 5 day combined paddle sports.We have added open canoes and stand up paddle-boards to our fleet. If you have never tried paddle boarding you should; it's easy to get the hang of so you can take a paddle on the river, all Amazon style or have a play in the surf out on sandbar which does involve more falling off I have to admit. Courses coming up for paddlers include: 7th April 2010 - Foundation Safety & Rescue 1st & 2nd May 2010 - Level 3 sea kayak assessment 28th—29th July - BCU 3 star touring kayak/canoe We also have lots of dates in the diary for
introduction to sea kayaking days and sunset river trips. |
